Slip Collars are a type of collar designed as a loop. They don’t have a buckle and simply slide over the dog’s head. You can pair it with any clip leash by connecting the clip to the empty ring on the slip collar. A slip collar has a maximum size that it will fit, but will work for variety of measurements under that. Do you have multiple dogs or a growing puppy? Consider a larger size with an add-on stopper. The stopper is an extra piece of material that you slide to your desired location. It will prevent that inner ring from moving past the stoppers placement, which will limit sizing. Do you prefer a limited slip collar? You can also add a stopper before the inner ring, which limits how tight the collar will go.
Sizing
A slip collar should fit loosely when not in use and should be able to slide over the dog’s head comfortably and easily. We measure slip collars by the length of the material between each end ring. To ensure proper maximum size when a stopper is added, we measure it from the end of the first ring to the inner side of the stopper when the stopper is placed at maximum size. Use the larger of the head and neck measurement when providing the measurement. It is important to consider that Biothane does not stretch when providing measurements.
See measuring guide in photos for instructions to measure your dog for a slip collar.
Design
Collar is woven around each ring one time and has one chicago screw on each ring. This collar is not ideal for a neck measurement of 12″ or less.

Biothane – 3/4″ wide, Beta 520 Super Heavy Biothane
Rings – We only use welded or die cast rings for maximum durability. You’ll customize the slip collar with your choice of Nickel Plated Steel, Black Powder Coated Steel, Solid Brass, or Stainless Steel rings.
Chicago Screws – We only use Chicago screws, which are a stronger, more secure fastener than other options such as double cap rivets. Black Powder Coated Brass, Nickel Plated Brass, Solid Brass, or Stainless Steel screws are available.
